Job Description
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a robust CMDB to support ITOM and ITSM functionalities.
- Develop and implement Discovery and Service Mapping solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the CMDB.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to define CI classes and attributes.
- Implement automated CI lifecycle management processes.
- Develop custom scripts to enhance Discovery and Service Mapping functionalities.
- Integrate CMDB with monitoring and automation tools.
- Create reports and dashboards to monitor CI relationships and data quality.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for CMDB users.
- Optimize CMDB data models to align with business needs.
- Ensure CMDB compliance with ITIL standards and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and enhancements to CMDB configurations.
- Perform regular audits of CMDB data and processes.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to CMDB performance and accuracy.
- Document all processes, workflows, and integrations for the CMDB.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and Configuration Management processes.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, REST APIs, and ServiceNow scripting.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - CMDB certification preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms and virtual infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot Discovery and Service Mapping issues.
- Knowledge of relational databases and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with ITOM modules like Event Management and Orchestration.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Experience with CI lifecycle management tools and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Proficiency in building CMDB-related reports and dashboards.
- Experience integrating CMDB with third-party systems.
